On November 1st, 2009 CiRCA held an exclusive VIP/MEDIA event entitled, “HIP HOP in 3D” with Shaun Boothe. Now, for those who don’t know about Shaun Boothe let me give you the run-down:

In a rap world of super-gangsters and pimps, preachers and revolutionaries, Shaun¹s music is alien. Running the range of social commentary through to ballads about phone sex there is multiple dimensions to his artistry.Discontent with the current state of what he sees as ³1 dimensional² rap music, Shaun Boothe always brings the 3rd dimension out. When attacking a concept/subject he shows all the angles.

Shaun is a phenomenal “Story-Teller” Canadian rapper that premiered his brand new video for the single “Poor Boy.” The song itself has been blowing up the Canadian charts and I doubt he’s stopping anytime soon.

CiRCA was honored to have Shaun Boothe and thanks 1LOVE T.O, ILUVLOLA, Johnny Hockin of MTV, Sarah Taylor of MUCH MUSIC, Future the Prince & everyone that attended!

The DoggFather himself came to the CiRCA building last night on Tuesday September 15th, 2009. Now, those that KNOW me (The Queen of Clubs), know that I’m not one to sugar-coat ANYTHING. Let’s just say that the lame-ass “appearance” that Snoop gave was more lackluster then watching a taping of Canadian Parliament. To clarify things: Here’s the run-down of what happened: Snoop came in, sat down, took pictures with future “potentials,”smoked a blizz-unt, and just SAT THERE for the rest of evening. HE DIDN’T EVEN GET ON THE MIC ONCE!!! You know what? Now, that I think about it Snoop was SO lackluster, if you had put two white boys on either side of him, I SWEAR it would’ve looked like a new installment of Weekend at Bernie’s. Snoop WAS WHACK! I’m sorry but how the hell did he even come off his high to shoot a movie for TIFF? A lot of people showed up, and Snoop showed out….Thanks a lot Dogg. I promise to drop your next album like it’s hot….right in the trash.

This Tuesday, September 15th 2009, Mr. Doggy-Dogg himself will be in the CiRCA Building to celebrate his documentary “Down For Life” at TIFF. The documentary which features Danny Glover focuses on girl gangs in Los Angeles. However, ironically it more-so focuses on a 15 year old girl in particular trying to leave the gang and pursue her dreams of becoming a writer. The documentary has already gotten rave reviews and Snoop Dogg himself has decided to celebrate at CiRCA. Check out the documentary but more importantly come out to CiRCA and meet the man himself! This will be a CiRCA event you won’t want to miss!!!
